Erik has been involved in the marine industry for over a decade. He started his brokerage career with Martin Bird & Associates in Annapolis in 2014. Prior to that he was a successful Store Manager with West Marine, winning many top accolades including multiple District Store of the Year awards. Erik was born in New York where he learned to sail at a young age on the Hudson River. In the mid-1990's his family moved to Annapolis, where his fondness of the Chesapeake grew by being involved in sailboat racing, fishing, and other water related activities.
To further is career as a yacht broker Erik attended continuing education training and was granted certification as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker in 2017. His drive to ensure his clients needs are met is paramount. Erik believes that his job is never done with any client, and that the personal assistance he provides clients, some years after they make their purchase, is what sets him apart from other brokers in the industry. Jeanneau has designed the NC 895 to be the perfect blend of pocket trawler and living comfort, not just for a couple, but for the family as well. The cockpit is nicely arranged with a L-settee and removable table. The aft settee is on a set of rails so that when the engines are down the seat can slide back to maximize cockpit space.
The salon and helm area is open, bright, and airy. Port and starboard opening windows, starboard is also a sliding pilothouse door. Over head sliding moon roof hatches, and aft salon sliding door. Visibility is excellent and unencumbered all around and especially thru the one piece wind screen. To starboard is the galley and to port is a four person dinette that also drops down to form a guest bed. Forward is the helm to starboard with a premium helm seat with arm rests. All navigation electronics and electrical switches are well laid out for easy reach and use. Opposite the helm is a seat to enjoy the forward view from.
Heading below forward is the main berth with a large bed and plenty of natural light from the port lights. The bed also lifts for cavernous storage below. On the port side is the guest stateroom and to starboard is a large head with electric toilet, shower, and sink.
