It is easy to see why for three decades, the Bristol Channel Cutter designed by Lyle Hess and built by the Sam L. Morse factory in Costa Mesa, CA has remained on the "best" list and featured in Rerrence Mate's Best Boats books (all three volumes. Having owned two beautiful BCCs ourselves sailed far and sold over 40 of them, we know why this is true.It is a pleasure to represent such a fine boat.
A Bristol Channel Cutter is a very special boat. Lyle Hess has inspired so many people along with Sam L Morse and Ferrence Mate. We've all stared at those beautiful pictures long before we owned one. We all looked at every single one that came available. Now you can own one! A very special one.
This BCC is very special as she is one the Factory Finished REAL ones, having been laid up in 1988! We know this BCC28 very well. Her current owner lavished her with money to upgrade her with a complete modern electronics package, a beautiful seahood and dinghy chocks, a Lyle Hess designed Fatty Knees sailing dinghy, rubrail, She is a wonderful, complete BCC.
Great sailing dreams do come in small and beautiful packages. The BCC is one of those vessels that really can make dreams come true. Maybe it is the incredible safety at sea rating and note worthy construction. Maybe it is the elegant simplicity that inspires so many first time boat owners. Maybe it is the lavish comfort and beautiful old world charm. Maybe it is the wide, wide side decks and the stable feeling under your feet as you gain your sea legs. The incredible sail plan that allows you to set sails for any and all conditions to sail in light wind or heavy conditions. The BCC is a truly great boat. She's a true ocean going vessel that even one small person can safely sail. She sails faster than much larger boats do to her long waterline, gorgeous underbody, and generous sail plan. So many couples and solo sailors have found this vessel to be their perfect choice. She just about perfect!!! Maybe she's perfect for you.
This Bristol Channel Cutter is a wonderful and well equipped boat well cared for boat!
