Larry was educated in business and law and held senior executive positions in professional firms and the financial services sector in both Toronto and New York for many years, while indulging his passion for yachts. In 2008 he started a marine services company, built the business into a profitable going concern and sold it in 2012.
He opened Dale Marine Logistics in 2014, based in Jupiter Florida.
Throughout his career Larry has been involved with yachts and the sea, racing, cruising, delivering and of necessity, maintaining them, in the Great Lakes and from Newfoundland to South America, intra-coastal and deep sea, Bermuda, Caribbean, Trans-Atlantic, Mediterranean and African coastal.
A longtime member of the Royal Ocean Racing club and Antigua Classic Regatta veteran, he is experienced with racing campaigns in warm water and cold, in both traditional as well as modern vessels. Captain Larry has over 50,000 nautical miles of sea time operation in command responsibilities, crew leadership, vessel operation and guest service.
He knows yacht management, including specific projects involving new build, maintenance, refit, insurance registration/classification, charter parties, international customs/excise and maritime law, as well as relevant scantling and vessel construction standards under the various regulatory regimes.
He works in the English and French languages and holds his Masters license from the Maritime and Coastal Authority in the UK.
His maritime experience, professional background, and responsible work ethic, all allow him to manage and operate yachts in a highly proficient manner, with a service oriented mentality towards owners, clients and guests.
During the past 2 years Larry began his venture as a yacht broker based in Jupiter, Florida. With his abundance of maritime knowledge and experience he assists clients, both buyers and sellers with ease, confidence and professionalism.
