Guy Ogier's journey began amidst the windswept shores of the West Coast of South Africa, where he was raised in a family rooted in sailing tradition. Negotiating the formidable gusty winds off the Southern tip of Africa became second nature to him from a young age. At 17, Guy embarked on an adventure to the Netherlands, where he joined his older brother in a boat-building project at the renowned Vitters Shipyard. It was his first introduction to the yachting industry.

With his family's history of sailing the Caribbean seas, it was only natural for Guy to find himself drawn to the shores of Sint Maarten in 2003. From there, he set sail on numerous vessels, navigating across the Atlantic Ocean to and from Europe and participating in deliveries from the Caribbean to the East Coast of the USA.

In 2009, Guy embarked on his next challenge, sailing through the South Pacific Ocean, eventually finding his way to the shores of New Zealand. Over five years and countless sea adventures, he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of sailing.

Returning to Sint Maarten in 2014, Guy immersed himself in further pursuits within the yachting industry.

Before joining David Walters Yachts, he dedicated his time to developing a profound understanding of performance cruising multihulls, managing the day-to-day operations of multihull charter companies, and racing in high-performance sailing regattas across the USA and the Caribbean.

Now, with a wealth of sailing experience and insights into various types of vessels, Guy seamlessly transitioned into the yacht brokerage industry as a Yacht Broker. His clients benefit from his extensive knowledge, articulate communication skills, and unwavering professionalism.
