Launched in 2017, Cum Laude is a privately owned Dufour 512 Grand Large that stands out for her condition, thoughtful upgrades and consistent professional care. She was purchased by the current owners in 2020 with approximately 60 engine hours and minimal use, and has since been maintained to a notably high standard. The yacht is offered for sale solely due to the owners’ intention to move to a new vessel.

Since new, Dufour 512 Grand Large has benefited from careful seasonal use and has been laid ashore for five to six months each year. All maintenance, servicing and winterisation have been entrusted to Civitanova Yacht Service in Civitanova Marche, ensuring continuity of care and detailed service records. The result is a yacht that presents today as a well-sorted, lightly used example of this popular cruising model.

Under power, the yacht is driven by a 75hp Yanmar diesel engine with saildrive, showing approximately 600 hours. The engine has been serviced annually as a matter of routine, with oil, filters and impeller replaced each year. An Autoprop three-blade self-pitching propeller provides excellent manoeuvrability under power and noticeably reduced drag under sail. A bow thruster further enhances close-quarters handling.

Sailing performance is strong and versatile. The yacht is equipped with North Sails mainsail and jib (2023), complemented by Dyneema running rigging renewed in 2023. The original mainsail and jib remain onboard. While Cum Laude has not been used for competitive racing, she has proven her capability in social events, including a win in the Civitanova–Šibenik rally. A North Sails Code Zero and Montefusco gennaker are available by separate negotiation.

On deck, Cum Laude is exceptionally well equipped for Mediterranean cruising. Twin carbon steering wheels serve fully renewed Raymarine navigation stations (2020) at both helms, with radar, AIS and autopilot. The cockpit is designed for comfort and entertaining, featuring full cushions, forward and aft sunbathing areas (renewed 2025), a teak cockpit table (2025), external refrigerator, cockpit audio system and a gas barbecue. Teak side decks lead forward, while a hydraulic bathing platform, folding carbon gangway and stainless steel boarding step make access simple and safe.

Below deck, the yacht offers a bright and spacious three-cabin, three-heads layout. The owner’s cabin features an en-suite head with separate shower, while both aft cabins have their own en-suite facilities. Air conditioning, heating and dehumidification are fitted throughout. The galley is fully equipped for extended cruising, and numerous recent upgrades include new service and engine batteries (2025), new taps (2025) and replaced heads pumps (2024).
