    Main Salon

The main salon aboard Journeys is bright and spacious, and designed for comfortable cruising and entertaining. Large windows on both port and starboard sides allow abundant natural light while providing excellent views of the surrounding waters.

To port, a generous L-shaped settee with storage below creates a comfortable gathering space for family and guests. Forward of the settee is a traditional Grand Banks bar cabinet, featuring bottle and glass storage with a fold-down serving area and a ice maker below.

On the starboard side, custom cabinetry houses a centerline pop-up television, integrated with a Bose entertainment system.

OceanAir blinds provide privacy and light control while maintaining the elegant atmosphere of the salon.

    Galley

Located forward on the port side, at the raised pilothouse level, the U-shaped galley is thoughtfully designed for both functionality and social interaction while cruising.

The galley features Sub-Zero refrigeration, additional refrigeration and freezer units, dishwasher, and abundant cabinetry for extended cruising provisions. Generous counter space and practical storage make meal preparation convenient whether underway or at anchor.

    Pilothouse / Command Center

The raised pilothouse is the operational heart of Journeys, offering commanding visibility and a comfortable environment for navigation and passage-making.

The forward helm station provides excellent sight lines through the expansive windshield, minimizing bow rise while underway. The helm is equipped with updated Garmin, Raymarine and Big Bay navigation displays, Maretron monitor system, autopilot, radar, and Caterpillar engine monitoring systems.

Controls for the Naiad stabilizers, bow thruster, generator start and stop, spot light  and other ship’s systems are conveniently located within easy reach.

Opposite the helm is a comfortable L-shaped pilothouse dinette with beautifully inlaid table, creating an inviting space for dining, chart work, or relaxing while underway.

Twin pilothouse doors on both port and starboard sides provide easy access to the wide side decks when docking or handling lines.

The spacious full-beam midship Primary Suite features a centerline queen berth, cedar-lined hanging lockers, abundant drawer storage, and opening ports providing natural light and ventilation.

    VIP Stateroom

Forward is a comfortable VIP stateroom with queen berth, generous storage, and convenient access to the ensuite head.

    Guest Stateroom

A third guest cabin features twin berths, making it ideal for family members or additional guests including an ensuite head.

A washer and dryer are conveniently located within the guest accommodations area for extended cruising comfort.

    Flybridge

The flybridge offers an expansive outdoor living area with upper helm station, comfortable seating, and panoramic views. This area is ideal for entertaining while cruising or relaxing at anchor.

    Foredeck and Portuguese Bridge

Forward, the Aleutian 59' features a secure Portuguese bridge and wide walk-around side decks, providing safe and comfortable access to the foredeck even in challenging sea conditions.

The foredeck includes a large seating area with storage below, oversized cleats, and a robust anchor platform designed for serious cruising.

    Mechanical & Engine Room

The engine room aboard Journeys reflects the thoughtful engineering and robust construction for which Grand Banks yachts are known. Systems are logically arranged for ease of inspection and maintenance.

Journeys is powered by twin Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines, each producing 1,000 horsepower, delivering fast cruising speeds of approximately 19–21 knots with top speeds approaching 25 knots, while still allowing efficient displacement cruising around 9–10 knots.

Stability underway is enhanced by Naiad stabilizers, with bow thruster assist while maneuvering in tight docking situations.

A 21 Kw and a 13.5 Onan generators provides reliable onboard electrical power.
