    DESCRIPTION:

Hallberg - Rassy 43 for sale in Grenada. Elegant, capable, and exceptionally well equipped, Nancy Lu is a highly desirable Hallberg-Rassy 43 designed by Germán Frers and built for discerning sailors who value quality, comfort, and offshore pedigree. This proven bluewater cruiser pairs Hallberg-Rassy’s renowned craftsmanship with thoughtful upgrades for effortless passagemaking, featuring a factory hard dodger, bow thruster, DC genset, Spectra watermaker, electric in-mast furling, color radar/chartplotter, and Icom SSB. Having cruised extensively from Virginia to Maine, the Bahamas, and throughout the Caribbean, she offers the rare combination of refined accommodations, confident performance, and true long-range capability.

Meticulously maintained and supported by a detailed maintenance log dating back to 2004, Nancy Lu reflects attentive ownership and continuous investment. Important upgrades include new standing rigging in 2019 and an impressive suite of Raymarine electronics added in 2025/2026, including a 12” Axiom Pro 2S chartplotter, Quantum 2 radar, AIS transponder, spare GPS receiver, and Evolution autopilot. Further enhancements such as a new Spade anchor and chain, Force 10 stove, new bimini with zip-on wraparound sun screens and coordinating hatch and winch covers, plus a custom full boat cover from stem to stern, make this yacht an outstanding opportunity for the buyer seeking a premium cruising platform with style, substance, and offshore readiness.

    Accommodations

Nancy Lu is finished in light mahogany with a satin varnish. The cabin sole is teak with inlaid holly covered with brown beige carpet runners. The overhead is light and reflective with mahogany strips. Mahogany hand holds are throughout the boat. All locker doors are flat panel mahogany with vents above the door openings. Stainless steel adjustable reading lights are above berths, settees and over the aft double berth. LED Mood lighting is located under the main salon valance. LED overhead lights are throughout. Matching mahogany Alpenglow dual intensity white/red lights are located over the navigation area and galley.

Four Dorade vents, twelve opening ports, four opening overhead hatches and eight fans provide excellent ventilation. There is a Roca Polar vent in the forward head and a separate engine room blower. There arescreens for all overhead hatches (except head). Ivory colored curtains are throughout the boat and blue upholstery is in the salon and staterooms. There are 5" thick cushions on all of the berths. Headroom in the main salon is 6'5" and in the passageway to the aft cabin the headroom is 6'.

Starting forward is an anchor locker with large deck access and a dividing shelf. The forward stateroom has a v-berth with infill and lee cloth, cabinet and locker storage above and outboard. A large bin for storage of extra sails is below the v-berth. Aft of the v-berth is a bureau with lockers above and below with large hanging locker aft and dressing seat. The forward head/shower compartment to port has a china sink, mirror, white laminate wipe down surfaces, an electric Jabsco head, a separate shower stall with a plexiglass door and teak grating.

Aft of the forward cabin is the main salon with "L" shaped dinette to port surrounding a drop leaf table with spirits locker in the middle. There is easily accessible storage behind the seat cushions. A straight settee is to starboard. The seat back cushion lifts and secures as an upper berth and is fitted with a lee cloth. This opens up a wide lower berth, also fitted with lee cloth. In addition, the port dinette settee is also fitted with a lee cloth. There are cabinets outboard and above each settee with an open narrow shelf below.

The "U" shaped galley is to starboard of the companionway ladder. Galley appliances include an Isotherm top opening refrigerator box, Isotherm top opening freezer box, microwave oven, Force 10 two burner gimbaled stove with oven and broiler. There is an electric propane shut off valve and manual fresh water foot pump. Corian counters with mahogany fiddles, deep SS double sink,  breadboard with drawers for cutlery and utensils below, large lockers with sliding doors, and a redwood cutting board over the stovetop combine to deliver a well-appointed sea-going galley.

To port is a large, forward facing navigation station. The chart table is spacious with plenty of room to spread out charts and other navigation equipment. Instruments are mounted in the aft facing shelf above the chart table. There are four drawers and a cupboard below the chart table. There is a true walk through passageway to the aft cabin with wet locker and storage cabinets outboard. Large rubber-sealed double doors open to the engine room along the passageway providing excellent engine room access. The electrical panel and book shelves are above the engine room doors.

The passageway leads to the aft cabin where one finds a double berth to starboard, a single to port, and a dressing settee between the berths. Stowage is available under the berths and there are lockers above and outboard. A bureau with locker below and mirror above is located aft of the settee bench. Hanging locker, drawers and bureau are along the port side of the aft cabin. The ensuite head is to starboard and includes a china sink, mirror, white laminate wipe down surfaces, a Jabsco manual head, a separate shower stall with a plexiglass door and teak grating

The hull and deck are insulated with closed cell foam. The fiberglass decks and coach roof are overlaid with teak and black rubber with teak cap rail on raised bulwark and teak handrails on the coach roof. A molded in rub rail capped with a stainless-steel bar protects the hull on both sides. NANCY LU is fitted with a factory installed hard dodger. Under the dodger are port and starboard varnished chart tables suitable for navigation equipment and chart layout. A large cockpit lazarette with stowage for companionway wash boards is under the starboard cockpit settee. There are D-rings in the cockpit to attach to tethers. The cockpit sole is a teak grate. There are two large drains in the cockpit. On deck stowage is in four lockers. Forward is a top opening chain locker with shelf and room for fenders, lines and other gear.
