Continually Upgraded | Replacement Main Engine | New Teak Decks | Oyster Flagship | En Route to Mediterranean
The Oyster 82 is widely regarded as one of the finest luxury bluewater cruising yachts ever produced by Oyster Marine. Designed by the renowned Rob Humphreys, she successfully combines exceptional offshore capability with the comfort, craftsmanship and timeless styling that have made Oyster one of the world's leading builders of long-distance cruising yachts.
Built in 2007, ZIG ZAG measures almost 25 metres (82 feet) and offers generous accommodation for up to ten guests in five cabins, making her equally suited to extended family cruising, world voyaging or luxury liveaboard use.
During her current ownership, ZIG ZAG has benefitted from continual investment and upgrading. The owner advises that recent improvements include replacement teak decks, a replacement main engine, a new port generator, a new dinghy outboard engine and a comprehensive interior refresh featuring modern maple sole boards throughout the main accommodation, creating a lighter and more contemporary feel.
Constructed in GRP and powered by a Caterpillar diesel engine, she combines reassuring ocean-going capability with impressive onboard comfort and the quality for which Oyster yachts are renowned.
ZIG ZAG is currently en route to Spain and will shortly be available for inspection in the Mediterranean. Further professional photography, video and an expanded technical specification will be added as she completes her passage.
Early enquiries are encouraged.
As ZIG ZAG completes her passage to Spain, further professional photography, video, a comprehensive technical specification and full inventory will be added, creating what we expect to become one of the most detailed Oyster 82 listings currently available.
OWNER'S COMMENTS
"ZIG ZAG has been a wonderful yacht for family cruising, allowing us to cruise in complete comfort and safety. Oyster's build quality, thoughtful design and exceptional sea-keeping have given us enormous confidence wherever we have travelled.
She offers the perfect balance between luxurious accommodation and genuine passagemaking capability. The spacious saloon, generous owner's accommodation and large cockpit have made her equally enjoyable for extended cruising and entertaining family and friends.
Over the years we have continually invested in the yacht to ensure she remained both reliable and enjoyable to own, and we hope her next owners experience the same pleasure she has given us."
BROKER'S COMMENTS
The Oyster 82 occupies a unique position within the luxury sailing yacht market. Large enough to offer genuine superyacht levels of comfort whilst retaining Oyster's practical bluewater philosophy, she remains one of the most respected production cruising yachts ever built.
Nicolle Associates has enjoyed a long relationship with Oyster yachts. In addition to representing numerous Oyster owners over the years, we supplied the rigging package, sails and safety equipment for the Oyster 82 sistership SARITA during her construction. This hands-on involvement provides us with an unusually detailed understanding of the design, engineering and cruising capabilities of this exceptional model.
What particularly attracted us to ZIG ZAG is the owner's commitment to continual improvement. Rather than simply maintaining the yacht, he has invested in significant upgrades including replacement teak decks, machinery improvements and an interior refurbishment that creates a noticeably brighter and more contemporary living environment.
As ZIG ZAG completes her delivery to the Mediterranean, we look forward to expanding this specification with additional photographs, detailed inventory and technical information. Even at this early stage, she represents an exciting opportunity to acquire a continually upgraded Oyster flagship.
