Off Piste is a 2023 Catalina 445, flagship of the builder’s acclaimed 5 Series and winner of Cruising World’s Boat of the Year award for Best Full-Size Cruiser as well as a Sail Magazine Best Boats honor. Designed by longtime Catalina architect Gerry Douglas, the 445 slots between the marque’s 42 and 47, delivering a shade more performance edge without sacrificing the comfort and value Catalina owners have come to expect. Reviewers consistently single out her twin-helm cockpit as exceptionally comfortable and secure, and her stiff, stable hull form lets her stand up to a breeze while tracking true. Cruising World described the 445 simply as an honest, well-built cruiser suited to couples and families alike. Off Piste carries that reputation forward as a lightly used, thoughtfully equipped example ready for coastal cruising, extended liveaboard comfort, or her next season on the water.
This Catalina 445 has spent her entire life close to home — ordered and purchased locally through the Catalina dealer at the time, Windworks and sailed locally in the Pacific Northwest waters she was built for. With the highly desirable three cabin, two head configuration, the port cabin is convertible to a storage garage. She's coming to market only because her owners have stepped up to a large powerboat. Complete service records are available, she's just had her bottom professionally serviced.
For a Buyer who values a known history over an unknown one, that continuity of local ownership and diligent upkeep speaks for itself.

Off Piste sleeps up to seven adults across three private staterooms finished in warm teak and ash joinery. The forward owner’s suite occupies the full beam of the bow with a double berth and private head, while two nearly identical aft guest staterooms — one to port, one to starboard — each offer a comfortable double berth of their own, making this a genuinely versatile layout for cruising couples, family, or crew. The U-shaped salon dinette conversion and forward-facing navigation station provide a bright, sociable gathering space, while the well-organized galley keeps the cook connected to the conversation. Two electric heads, each with its own holding tank, means no compromises on convenience regardless of who is aboard.
