The Grand Banks 46 Europa "ALTA" is a timeless and legendary yacht designed by one of the worlds leading builders. The Grand Banks 46 Europa is a premier long-range cruising yacht that combines the traditional heritage of the trawler with the exceptional weather protection and utility of the Europa design. A signature feature of the Europa is its extended flybridge overhang, which completely shelters the aft cockpit and wide side decks from sun and rain.

High bulwarks and substantial teak cap rails extend the length of the vessel, providing secure passage to the foredeck, even in challenging conditions. The distinctive plumb bow and semi-displacement hull incorporate a long keel for excellent directional stability, while hard chines help deflect spray and enhance the ride. Even greater stability is realized by Wesmar Fin stabilizers which greatly reduce roll in a seaway. 

The flybridge offers a second helm station along with generous additional seating, all benefiting from the commanding, high-visibility vantage point characteristic of the GB Heritage Series.

The single-level main deck seamlessly connects the expansive salon with the covered aft cockpit through sliding, wood-framed glass doors, creating a spacious indoor-outdoor living environment. Large panoramic windows surround the salon, filling the interior with natural light and providing excellent visibility in all directions.

Inside, the yacht showcases Grand Banks' renowned craftsmanship, with rich handcrafted teak joinery, fine cabinetry, and teak-and-holly sole throughout. The two-stateroom, two-head layout features a forward master stateroom, an amidships guest stateroom with twin berths to port, two full heads, and a convenient galley-up arrangement integrated into the main salon and lower helm station.

The engine room provides approximately five feet of standing headroom and is exceptionally well-lit and ventilated, offering excellent access to the twin Caterpillar diesel engines and mechanical systems. Exceptional in this yacht is the AquaDrive system which reduces vibration, enhances life of the transmissions and tolerates less than perfect engine alignment. Driven by Stainless Steel shafts and propellors with maneuvering enhanced with bow and stern thrusters, she is a simple reliable yacht easily managed.
