    DESCRIPTION:

A PROVEN CARBON-RIGGED CIRCUMNAVIGATOR WITH AN EXCEPTIONALLY DOCUMENTED REFIT HISTORY

Kalli is hull #19 of the acclaimed Hylas 56 line, built by Queen Long Marine in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and launched in 2015 to a design by German Frers. Her hull is a solid, hand-laid fiberglass and Twaron composite laminate — Twaron being the aramid fiber used in body armor for its exceptional impact resistance — giving her the structural integrity experienced offshore sailors look for in a serious bluewater platform.

What sets Kalli apart from her sisterships is her custom tall Selden carbon mast and Selden Park Avenue boom, a rare and valuable rig upgrade that reduces heeling forces, sharpens her mainsail shape, and makes her one of the quickest boats in the Hylas 56 line under sail. Paired with a fully battened mainsail on traditional slab reefing and a proper bluewater keel, she offers a genuinely rewarding helm alongside her offshore capability.

Kalli has circumnavigated — with speed, safety, and comfort — and the systems aboard reflect that pedigree. A comprehensive suite of alternative energy sources (Solbian solar, a SilentWind wind generator, and a Watt & Sea hydrogenerator) keeps her Victron lithium battery bank topped up at anchor and on passage, minimizing generator dependence without compromising comfort. Her striking Awlcraft "Stars and Stripes" blue hull turns heads in every harbor she visits.

Since being acquired by her current owners in January 2022, Kalli has undergone two major overseas refit campaigns — in Australia (2023-24) and Trinidad (2025-26) — documented in meticulous detail by a technically engaged owner-operator. New sails, replaced standing rigging, a new lithium-fed power system, a new custom carbon bimini, and continuous mechanical maintenance mean she is presented turn-key and ready for her next passage.

    Broker's Comments

Kalli represents a rare combination in the Hylas 56 market: a genuine circumnavigator with a documented, professionally executed refit history and a performance rig few sisterships can match. Her custom carbon mast and boom, triple-source renewable power system, and largely renewed sail and rigging inventory reflect an owner who has invested continuously and thoughtfully in her readiness for serious offshore passagemaking — not simply cosmetic upkeep. For a buyer seeking a proven, well-sorted bluewater 56-footer ready to cross an ocean rather than a boat that still needs to be prepared for one, Kalli deserves serious consideration.
