The master stateroom is forward and is built with a true queen bed with only one step up on each side, making access easy. A 7' ceiling, ceiling hatch and large portholes create a feeling of spaciousness. Raised spray chines mean that there is no "chine slap" so you can enjoy a quiet night. The master stateroom has an ensuite head and shower. The guest stateroom is versatile with two single beds that can slide together to make a queen as well as a fold down bunk. The pilothouse has a large L settee (convertible bed) that can act as a nice private third stateroom. There is great visibility from the Stidd helm seat as well as the raised settee. A large flybridge is standard on all NP49s.

The NP49 is based on a stable semi-displacement hull, allowing for economical cruise speeds of 7-10 knots. At 7 knots, fuel burn is about 3.5 GPH, at 8 knots, 5 GPH and 10 GPH at 9.5 knots.
