CHOCOLAT is a Hanse 588 delivered in 2022 to a design by Judel/Vrolijk & Co. Measuring 17.20 metres, she has been privately owned from new by a single owner, lightly used and meticulously maintained, and she is presented today in excellent condition, lying at Villeneuve-Loubet on the French Riviera.

Her teak-laid deck is built around a large cockpit with twin wheels, divided into two distinct areas and sheltered by a GRP hardtop with a canvas sliding roof. All halyards and controls are led below deck, so she is easily handled short-handed. Aft, the bathing platform opens onto a tender garage, while retractable bow and stern thrusters and a carbon gangway complete the deck equipment.

Under sail she carries a Selden in-furling mast, a Quantum AC5 performance wardrobe and electric furlers. She sails remarkably well: in light airs, under 6 knots of wind, she makes one knot above the wind speed. B&G H5000 electronics and a 110 hp Volvo D3 giving 8 knots cruising and a 420 NM range complete the picture.

Below deck, four guest cabins for up to eight guests and a separate crew cabin forward give everyone on board real privacy. Large hull windows flood the saloon with light, and the galley layout makes cooking, living and dining a social, relaxed experience. She is equipped to a full Mediterranean specification: 40,000 BTU air conditioning, an 8 kW Fischer Panda generator, a water maker, washing machine, dishwasher and a retractable 42-inch Samsung screen.
