Lotus is one of the Canadian-built Bristol Channel Cutters designed by Lyle Hess and built by Channel Cutter Yachts in Vancouver, with reputed quality and especially fine interior finishes. Over the years, this design has captured the imagination of sailors looking to cross oceans in a small but seaworthy classic cruiser.
The current owners have extensively updated systems, enjoyed cruising her in the Bahamas but have now moved to Australia. They are motivated to find new owners for Lotus. An amazing opportunity!
The design has a universal appeal and proven stability and ruggedness.

Lotus is quite roomy for a 28-footer. All the way forward is a large V berth with room for two. There is a hanging locker for storage and an electric head aft of the berth.
Moving further aft, we enter the main salon. There are two single berths to port and starboard, with numerous lockers outboard for storage. Behind each berth are shelves for books. Coming down from the forward bulkhead is a Sapele table.
The galley is next, with a new Force 10 two-burner propane stove with an oven, to port. There is ample counter space to prepare meals. Aft of the stove is a quarter berth.
Across the cabin is a stainless steel sink with dual faucets and drawers beneath. There is a Dometic fridge/freezer adjacent to the sink. Batteries and utility area aft of that.
The Yanmar diesel engine lies in an easy access cabinet beneath the companionway.
