Joystick Docking
The 2019 Intrepid 475 Sport Yacht, “DAMN LUCKY” comes equipped with a joystick control system, integrated with the Yamaha outboard engines. This feature significantly enhances the boat’s maneuverability, especially at low speeds, making docking and close-quarters handling much easier. With a simple push or twist, the joystick allows you to control the boat’s movement in all directions – forward, backward, sideways (crab walking), and rotation. The joystick system is integrated with the Yamaha outboard engines and often the GPS. Set Point (often called Skyhook), can use GPS to hold the position of the boat and heading with the touch of a button.
