GET IN TOUCH WITH A BROKER
Matilida, a stunning 2002 Hylas 46 designed by German Frers, was built for blue-water cruising and is suitably equipped for a luxurious experience while crossing oceans. She's been well maintained and is fully outfitted for long-distance passage-making.
The Hylas 46 design has a generous beam carried well aft, providing excellent stability and more interior volume than yachts of similar length. The design incorporates many safety features including a Twaron (a Kevlar-like material) reinforced hull.
Visually stunning, Matilida has received a steady stream of compliments for her superb good looks. Below decks you will find a beautifully appointed teak interior with a varnished finish. There are staterooms with ensuite heads fore and aft. The aft has a centerline queen-sized berth; the forward berth also sleeps two. In the salon there is room to sleep three. The galley is truly capable of gourmet cooking.
Matilida is cutter-rigged, with in-mast furling mainsail, electric primary winches, roller furling genoa and staysail, and an ICW friendly mast height. She is easily handled by two. The current owners purchased the boat in 2019 and made many important upgrades and improvements to the boat in preparation for completing a circumnavigation as part of the 2022-2023 World ARC Round the World Rally. Fresh back from that adventure, Matilida is ready to new owners to point her off on her next offshore adventure.
Matilida has a large guest cabin forward with a full head in the bow and pullman style double berth to port. The main salon features a circular dining table to port with a large settee to starboard which can serve as a sleeping berth underway. The navigation station is at the rear of the main salon to port. A large galley runs down the starboard side with large refrigerator and freezer compartments, a gimbaled three-burner Force 10 stove with oven, and loads of counter top and storage space. From the galley you continue aft and enter the owner's stateroom with its center island queen berth, and ample storage. A master head with separate shower stall is on the port side. There is a Splendide washer/dryer outboard of the shower.
The interior features many top quality features including: Louvered teak cabinet doors for excellent ventilation Chromed cabinet and drawer latches with positive locking Teak and holly sole throughout Wahlee stone countertops in galley and both heads Ultraleather main salon seating, nav station seat, and owner's stateroom Overhead lighting all chromed LED fixtures Warm LED reading lights in master cabin and forward cabins. Automatic lights in hanging lockers, and forward and aft stateroom lockers. Teak mast cover with integral locker Scandvik head sink faucets, showers, shower mixers. The boat has three (3) Dometic reverse cycle AC units (new in 2019).
