    • Main deck (salon): Raised three steps from the cockpit, it features a cozy L-shaped settee with a high/low teak table, swivel helm chairs, and an optional second helm seat across from the pilot 

    • Galley and Dinette: Located below deck, the galley includes Sub-Zero refrigeration, Corian countertops, and often a dinette or workspace opposite, equipped with modern appliances 

    • Sleeping quarters: The forward master stateroom offers an island berth and en-suite head with a separate shower. There’s also a guest stateroom to port and a separate guest head 

    • Special editions: Cloud Nine features a side helm door for easy deck access and improved ventilation — a highly sought-after option 

    Performance & Power
    • Typically powered by twin Caterpillar C12 diesel engines, each delivering around 705 hp. These yield cruising speeds of about 20 - 24 knots, with top speeds exceeding 30 knots 

    • Fuel capacity is substantial at roughly 760 gallons, paired with 176 gallons of fresh water — ideal for extended cruising 

    • The ride is often described as stable, responsive, and refined, delivering both “elegance and exhilaration” 

    Design & Hull Characteristics
    • Designed by Ray Hunt Associates, the Eastbay 49 SX features a modified deep-V hull with lifting strakes, providing a smooth, dry ride and excellent open-water handling 

    • At the helm, the SX configuration boasts a fully enclosed salon  offering protection from the elements while maintaining visibility and comfort 

    General Layout

    The yacht features a large cockpit with transom door to swim platform, enclosed pilot house with comfortable seating and entertainment center plus the sought-after starboard pilothouse helm door! Lower deck with two cabin, two head layout, galley and lower salon. The Master is forward with an island queen berth and ensuite head with separate stall shower. There is a guest cabin to port with athwartships twin berths, hanging locker and storage drawers. The guest head is opposite the guest cabin and features a stand-up shower, sink with vanity, and Vacu-Flush head system. The galley has solid-surface countertops with moldings, twin under-counter Vitrifrigo refrigerator with additional top=loading freezer. Princess 3 burner electric stove with oven and broiler, and Sharp Convection Microwave. Lots of counter surface and storage space, including bottle storage, and a very functional galley in a seaway. Three steps up from the lower deck is the pilot house area. To Starboard is the helm station with STIDD pedestal captain's seat, adjacent to Port is a second  STIDD companion seat with chart table. The salon area offers a large L-shaped settee with electronically actuated High/Low Teak table, decorative chair and entertainment center creating a fabulous indoor entertaining space. The salon and lower decks have a beautiful teak and holly sole, and the yacht is air conditioned and heated to maintain comfort in varying climates. Year-round boating at its finest!

    The large cockpit supports outdoor enjoyment for the whole crew with aft facing double bench seats port and starboard. Access to the side and foredecks is easy allowing crew to safely move about the entire boat, and waist-high safety rails and well-placed exterior stainless handrails give the crew an extra measure of safety going forward and aft. The transom door opens to the large Teak swim platform where a Stainless Steel swim ladder which aids in boarding from the water.

    Pilothouse

    With the advent of the SX model the pilothouse / salon became fully enclosed, climate controlled and finished with an interior level of detail. This greatly enhanced the liveability vs. the earlier HX model. In addition, the area is "lockable"- electronics and other personal items are much better protected.

    Galley

    With the SX model, the galley overhead opens up to the salon, allowing natural light to flood in the lower spaces. It feels much more open and airy, and allows the chef to interact with guests in the salon.  The large U-shaped galley offers an abundance of counter space as well as storage in beautiful teak cabinetry and drawers. On the inboard side forward is a glass-faced bottle storage cabinet, and the high-gloss teak and holly sole is protected by a custom-fit carpet. The main galley equipment list includes:
