INTRODUCTION:
GHOST is a 3-stateroom Sou’wester 52. Her Owner’s cabin is aft on the port side featuring a double berth, hanging locker, ensuite head, and stall shower. Across on the starboard side, she has a U-shaped galley with all amenities. Her Main Salon has a U-shaped dinette to port with a beautiful custom cherry adjustable table that has a compass rose inlay. To starboard is a very comfortable settee with a Nay Station aft of the settee. Forward of this area are two staterooms, port and starboard; starboard side has an over/under berth arrangement and the port cabin has a double berth. The two staterooms share a head with separate stall shower area forward.
GHOST has a high gloss varnished cherry interior with ambience rheostat lighting and ventilation. To Port:
The U-shaped Dinette features wrap-around cushioned seating surrounding a custom gloss
urethaned cherry wood dining table with a removable leaf that stones inside. This leaf has custom inlay perimeter trim and a compass rose inlay.
• The table is mounted on a polished stainless steel gas spring pedestal that can drop down to
form a double berth and has a filler cushion.
• Custom fitted and padded protective fabric table cover.
• Two Cantalupi Toni polished chrome halogen spotlights on dimmers are over the table.
• Forward and aft bulkhead mounted Frigast 12-volt lights.
Outboard are lockers and alcove storage shelves

Construction:
GHOST is constructed by using the DualGuard composite construction and the patented SCRIMP© process. Hen outer skin of Kevlar®/E-glass by Dupont greatly increases the strength of the hull against any damage caused by impacts. In addition, she has an inner skin of carbon fiber. This all provides the hull to be of superior stiffness and tremendous strength to overall weight ratios.
• Centerboard draws a scant 5’10” of draft, yet the board has an NACA foil-shape in section and
elliptical platform to maximize windward performance. The centerboard tip is ballasted with 125
lbs. of lead.
• 39,000 lbs displacement - one of the strongest boats of her size and weight.
Hinckley’s DualGuard™ composite construction and the patented SCRIMP© process:
