The construction of this Custom COAST 50 started in 2015 and the boat was launched 2018. The COAST 50 custom catamaran is a 3-cabin owners version configuration that was designed by Philippe Renaudeau for safe and comfortable ocean sailing, even with limited crew.
The large cockpit is protected from the sun and rain by the large roof. The helm stations are well protected and their centralized positions offer more stability and less exposure to the elements, while guaranteeing excellent visibility in all directions. The magnificently shaped roof spoiler, as well as the salon top, have an integrated rain water collection system with replaceable pre-filters before filling the water tanks.
The large lounge/salon is designed with open plan living in mind. It is well laid out with a hi-tech navigation station with oversized chart table to port. The seating area encompasses the width of the salon creating a huge area for socializing and dining. There are two refrigerators under the salon seating area.The U-shaped galley to starboard is well laid out and boasts a double stainless steel sink, oven and 4-burner hob and grill, refrigerator and freezer with top and front access and plenty of storage cupboards.
The starboard hull is completely dedicated to the comfort and privacy of the owner offering queen-sized bed, couch bed, work station and master bathroom suite with electric toilet and walk-in shower. The Port hull offers two guest cabins and a shared bathroom in a multi-function layout allowing for extra storage if needed.
This catamaran was designed to be a world cruiser bringing comfort and easy sailing and has many custom features not found on production boats. With premium electric furling Genoa and genneker and furling mainsail being the primary sails. Alita too has lifting keels which lift fully into the hulls when needed The keels are fitted with safety values in case of impact. Built in aluminum, this catamaran is sturdy and very elegant.
