Invitation to Hylas Owners

David Walters Yachts is pleased to host the 2026 DWY Hylas Owners Rendezvous, bringing Hylas owners together for a relaxed early-fall gathering on the Chesapeake Bay. An ideal time of year for cruisers heading south for the season or for those preparing to jump off on the Salty Dawg Rally.

This weekend is designed to be simple and enjoyable: a casual rally sail, time spent aboard your own boat, and the opportunity to connect with other Hylas owners in a great cruising destination. The emphasis is on participation, shared experience, and having fun on the water—without the pressure of a formal race or regatta.

Weekend Overview

Friday | October 2 – Hylas Rally & Welcome

Annapolis to St. Michaels Rally

The weekend begins with a friendly Hylas Rally sail from Annapolis to St. Michaels. This is a casual, non-technical rally intended to be enjoyable for all owners and crews. If you are a Hylas owner, joining us by land, feel welcome to contact us for crew-placement!

• Rally instructions will be distributed by email the day prior
• Rolling start window: Friday, October 2: 0900-1000
• Rally finish in St. Michaels Harbor 

Upon arrival, participants are free to enjoy the afternoon at their own pace.

Evening | Welcome Reception & Dock-Tail Party at Foxy's Harbor Grille

Join fellow owners dockside for a casual welcome reception with drinks, light fare, and informal introductions as the fleet gathers.

Saturday | October 3 – St. Michaels Experience

Morning | Breakfast Buffet at Muskrat Park

A relaxed group breakfast overlooking the harbor, providing time to connect and review the day’s activities.

Midday | Walking Tour of St. Michaels

A guided walking tour highlighting the town’s maritime heritage, waterfront history, and character.

Afternoon | Local Brewery & Bites

A social, local brewery experience with light bites, designed to complement the afternoon at an easy pace.

Late Afternoon | Free Time

Time to return to your yacht, explore town, or enjoy dockside visits with other owners.

Evening | Dinner & Awards Ceremony

A hosted group dinner and recognition evening celebrating the Hylas ownership community.

A casual breakfast and coffee gathering before departures.

Late Morning | Departures
Depart at leisure for Annapolis or continue Chesapeake cruising plans.

Dockage & Mooring Information

Dockage arrangements can be made directly with St. Michaels Marina. David Walters Yachts is happy to assist owners with coordination if needed. For slips at Saint Michaels Marina, please visit their reservations page on Dockwa. Boat owners are responsible for booking their own reservations.

Owners may also choose to spend the weekend at anchor, taking advantage of the St. Michaels Harbor anchorage and local launch and shuttle services to access shore events.

Who Should Attend

All Hylas Yachts owners are welcome, regardless of model, year, or sailing style. This rendezvous is designed to be relaxed, social, and flexible—ideal for couples, families, and mixed-experience crews. And if you're unable to attend with your boat, we'd love to see you join us by land!
