45 Years Ago Today, Capt. Derek Jarvis Set Sail

45 YEARS AGO TODAY, at just 24 years old, our very own broker and friend Derek Jarvis set sail from Fort Lauderdale aboard his 1965 Pearson 30 named Coaster. He went on to spend the next 5 years cruising abroad, spending many years in the South Pacific.

Since then he has logged over 175,000 NM at sea including 7 trans-Atlantic and 3 trans-Pacific crossings. He has helped hundreds of sailors realize their dream and is know for his friendly personality, breadth of knowledge, and desire to share his experience with others.

Derek is an incredible broker, good friend, and we are proud to have him within the David Walters Yachts family!
