Raised sailing on San Francisco Bay, Jon developed a passion for boating and seamanship early in life. His sailing background includes competitive dinghy racing, J/Boat fleets, and long-distance offshore events, providing him with a practical understanding of yacht performance, handling, and ownership that directly benefits his clients today.

Before entering the yacht brokerage industry, Jon built an accomplished and unconventional professional career that reflects both adaptability and leadership. He worked as a bush pilot in Alaska, where he developed strong decision-making skills under demanding conditions, before transitioning into sales roles, including representing a Napa Valley winery. Jon later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Logistics from California Maritime Academy and went on to spend more than a decade in sales management within the global ocean container shipping industry.

Throughout his career in global logistics and sales management, Jon worked extensively with contract negotiations, client relations, and high-value assets across international markets. His ability to manage detailed transactions and communicate clearly with clients translates naturally into yacht brokerage, where trust, market knowledge, and thoughtful guidance are essential.

A lifelong sailor and active yacht owner, Jon currently owns and sails a Beneteau First 44.7, further strengthening his firsthand understanding of yacht ownership, maintenance, and performance cruising.
