While every team member had a profound impact on our success in 2020, there are a few that deserve special recognition. Each year, we recognize our Top Brokers, measured by total sales and the total number of boats sold.

For 2020, our Top DWY Yacht Broker by total sales was Erik Haaland. He has been instrumental in the growth of DWY since joining the Team three years ago. Erik also took charge of our Italia Yachts program and is responsible for the brand's extraordinary development in the US since taking on the project in 2018.

Our Top DWY Yacht Broker by total boats sold for 2020 is a long-time veteran of the yachting industry, Bernie Jakits. Bernie merged his company RogueWave Yacht Sales, founded 25 years ago in Annapolis, with David Walters Yachts back in 2017. Since then, Bernie has continually led the Team in sales and proven to be instrumental in developing some of our newer team members.

This year, and in light of the immeasurable challenges we faced, I presented our Team with a new award for 2020. Since sales and dollars are not necessarily the only measure of success, I asked our Team to vote for who overall made the most significant impact on David Walters Yachts' in 2020. And I was proud to recognize our newest member of the Team, Marina Neal, our Marketing Coordinator, with the 2020 Top Contributor Award! She has certainly earned it.
