What an intense weekend and experience with AYCs Double Handed Distance Race. Not only did the club organize and execute a great event but David Walters Yachts had the opportunity to sponsor the event along with Italia Yachts. Italia Yachts Sales Director Erik Haaland partnered with Andrew Waters from Quantum Sails to participate with the Italia 9.98 / 34 that was delivered to Annapolis 12 days ago. They only sailed the boat twice and had never raced one before. This event was a 24 hour race on the Chesapeake. The truth is in the pudding, this boat rocks. First Place in ORC! We can’t wait to see the further potential once she’s tweaked.
